A typical day of outdoor camp:
 

7:30-8:30: early dropoff
8:30-9:00: "campfire" meeting
9:00-10:00: STEM electives
10:00-10:15: snack break
10:15-11:15: STEM electives (cont'd)
11:15-12:15: arts & crafts w/ nature
12:15-1:15: lunch and free play/reading time
1:15-2:30: outdoor adventures & activities
2:30-2:45: snack break
2:45-4:00: outdoor adventures & activities
4:00: pickup
4:15-6:00: late pickup

 

Outdoor Adventures & Activities

  • Go on nature hikes
  • Explore native flowers and trees
  • Search for animal tracks
  • Start a bug collection
  • Learn survival skills
  • Fish in the pond
  • Race toy boats
  • Test water samples
  • Tend the garden
  • Care for chickens and collect eggs
  • Learn about grapes and fermentation
  • Collect rocks
  • Build outdoor forts
  • Do arts & crafts with nature
  • Fly kites
  • Read under a tree
  • And lots of other fun stuff!
