HALL OF GREATS

Mr. Louis Pasteur was a very creative chemist. Through his experiments, he discovered that germs cause many sicknesses, including strep throat!  His most famous discovery came when the Emporer of France asked him to figure out why wine sometimes went bad.  By heating the wine and killing the germs in it, Mr. Pasteur fixed the problem!  This process is used all the time now, and is named after him.  Ever wonder why they call it "pasteurized" milk?
