Mr. George
Washington Carver combined chemistry
with his love of plants to invent hundreds of amazing things,
including peanut butter, bleach, instant coffee, mayonnaise,
shaving cream and shoe polish! Mr. Carver was born into
slavery in Missouri in 1864, but through hard work and
dedication, he became a world famous scientist and inventor.
He even has a national monument dedicated to him!
