TEACHERS

C-Zone teachers lead kids ages 1-5 or 5-11 through an inquiry-based, hands-on curriculum. Tremendous opportunity to grow with a team-oriented company. 

Responsibilities.  C-Zone teachers will: 

• Teach a world-class, hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum for kids under 12 in our fully-equipped, kid-sized science laboratory.

• Lead hands-on activities and experiments.

• Adapt the curriculum as necessary to suit the abilities and interests of each class.

• Observe and make appropriate notes of each student’s progress and learning style.

• Communicate with parents on a regular basis about their child’s progress.

Typical class size is no greater than 14 kids.  We maintain a low teacher-student ratio, and teachers usually have an assistant. 

Minimum Job Qualifications.  C-Zone teachers should:

• Be a college graduate.

• Have a teaching degree and/or significant teaching experience.

• Have a demonstrated ability to teach, inspire, and entertain kids.

• Be fun-loving, warm and high-energy, and have a sense of humor.

• Be highly intelligent.

• Have a passion for science and creative thinking; experience in science or technology is a plus.

• Maintain a neat and clean appearance.

• Speak clear English; second-language skills are a plus.

• Have basic computer skills.

• Be a team player.

• Be physically able to perform demonstrations and other classroom tasks effectively and safely.

• Be physically and psychologically able to maintain a safe, orderly environment with large groups of young children in a highly active setting.

• Consent to and pass a criminal and health background check for working with children.

• Be a U.S. citizen.

• Be drug-free.
